The Amalfi Coast, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997, is a magical place, famous all around the world that never ceases to amaze us. It is no coincidence that the Lonely Planet included it among the 500 most beautiful places in the world. It offers breathtaking views and it is one of the ideal destinations for spending unforgettable holidays. Hence, today, we will discover some of its iconic photo spots.
Taking inspiration from some popular pictures on social media, here is a list of places you should not miss if you are on the Amalfi Coast.

1. THE “SPIAGGIA GRANDE” OF POSITANO
The first spot is the most famous beach of Positano, the Spiaggia Grande, a great classic that never disappoints: colored houses perched on the rocks and shaped like a pyramid will be a perfect background for your photos. It is amazing at any time of day but especially at sunset and twilight when the beach has a special charm.
2. PIAZZA SAN GENNARO IN PRAIANO
Piazza San Gennaro in Vettica Maggiore, a village of Praiano, is a square that will offer you one of the most romantic and spectacular sunsets of the Amalfi Coast. While the sun disappears in the sea and the sky turns red, you could make a time-lapse or take a picture for your instagram profile. You will get a lot of likes!
3. THE FJORD OF FURORE
The Fjord of Furore, wonderful from any point of view, will offer you the opportunity to take unique pictures. In fact, this is one of the most picturesque and photographed beaches of the Amalfi Coast.
4. THE CATHEDRAL OF AMALFI
The Cathedral of Amalfi, which stands in the homonymous square, will surprise you with its facade and huge staircase. Seeing this spot is a must if you want to take a picture of its details, such as the wonderful bell tower or to take some selfies with the Cathedral in the background.
5. VILLA CIMBRONE IN RAVELLO

So, the “Terrazza dell’Infinito” of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello will offer you one of the most beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast. Are you ready to capture it? I assure you that there are no words to describe this wonderful place.
6. THE “VILLA COMUNALE” AND THE MOST INSTAGRAMMABLE NARROW STREET OF VIETRI SUL MARE
If you want to take incredible pictures of Vietri sul Mare, visit the Villa comunale and the colourful narrow street that has become famous on social media over the last few years.
The Villa comunale with walls and handrails covered with colorful ceramic tiles is the perfect expression of Vietri ceramics that recalls the Parc Güell of Barcelona for its architectural shapes. Then, the panorama will leave you breathless!
The colorful narrow street near the police station is one of the most instagrammable spots of this small town. Because of its colors, it reminds us of the blue city of Chefchaouen in Marocco.
7. THE VALLE DELLE FERRIERE
If you want to surprise your followers, walk along one of the most evocative naturalistic trails of the Amalfi Coast: the Valle delle Ferriere. There are plenty of wonderful glimpses to photograph and once inside the valley, the scenery looks like a fairy-tale.
