A beach on the Amalfi Coast

Going to the beach with children on the Coast

First of all, if you want to book a beach vacation on the Amalfi Coast, you should keep in mind that during the peak season, especially in July and August, beaches tend to be very crowded and prices to access them to be high. For families with children, May, June and September are probably the best months to enjoy the sea on the Coast: there are fewer tourists, and as a result you can enjoy the sea with much more peace of mind. Here is a list of our beach recommendations!

Atrani beach

In Italy's smallest municipality lies an easily accessible beach. It skirts the village, and is sheltered from the wind and waves by a barrier of rocks. Equipped with all amenities, it is also ideal because the seabed has fine, clear sand, perfect for allowing the little ones to run and play!

Amalfi beach

In Amalfi, the Marina Grande beach is larger and offers many amenities. Although it has pebbles, it is recommended for its crystal clear sea and proximity to the town center, where parking lots are located. It is very popular and often crowded: on summer weekends it can be tricky to find a free spot, so I recommend getting there early in the morning or booking a spot at the Marina lidos in advance!

Cetara marina

Even in Cetara, a charming fishing village located between Erchie and Vietri sul Mare, there is a beach right on the edge of the town center, spacious enough to accommodate families with children. At one end of the beach stands the ancient Saracen tower; here you will find both equipped lidos and a stretch with free access, the waters are clean and the sun stays until late afternoon.

Maiori beach

Maiori represents one of the best choices for those who want to go to the beach with children on the Coast. The beach is located close to the promenade, which is also equipped with merry-go-rounds for the little ones. Here, too, the sea is crystal clear and the wider possibility of parking makes it a favorite destination for families.

Minori beach

Minori's beach is also wide, equipped and very close to the city center. In addition, the world-famous Sal de Riso pastry shop is right across the street, and both young and old can enjoy its magnificent creations!
